Reading and Writing, Week 8
Reading and Writing
Reading is one of my favorite things to do. I can sit and read for hours if I wanted too. The readings in this class so far have all been pretty entertaining. I'm not a huge fan of poems so getting through those can be difficult. My favorite reading so far has either been Tartuffe. Even though this was a longer reading it had a lot of entertainment, which is a plus for me because it makes me a lot more interested in the book. Another reasoning it was my favorite is because there was a lot of drama. I tend to be more drawn to stories that keep can keep me guessing what is going to happen. I don't like anything too predictable. I believe the reading notes do help me. When I am writing my project work or weekly analysis I go back to look at them.
I am satisfied with my project. I wouldn't say I'm super 100% proud of it but I am happy. I think I could have worked a little harder looking back and will make sure I do just that on our next project.
I think in future weeks and other classes I will continue to practice my reading and taking notes/annotating. I don't talk-to-the-text as much as I would like and I think doing that could potentially help me with my reading and my writings.
Writing in this class has been fun. I love being able to write about the different stories we learn about in this class. With that being said, writing can also be difficult, for me at least. I know there are times where my thoughts are jumbled or I can't think straight and my writing suffers from it. I think one thing I can work on is planning out my writing. I can write down some of my ideas that way when I am writing and I get stuck or can't think of something I can take out my paper with ideas and go off of that.
